    Excellent video! Regarding rags, it's been a while since their release and they work fine as progressive enchancement, there is a CSS property called text-wrap and now has two new options, balance and pretty. Both of them are dealing with orphans and widows but use them with caution. They are pretty expensive in performance. Use them with caution and only when it's really needed.

  • @WTPleo
    @WTPleo 13 дней назад

    So much value man! Instantly subbed. I have a question that's related to the topic, do you send the client a detailed contract before collecting payment, or do you send the contract afterwords? Because if you're not selling the mechanics, then a super in depth contract that outlines everything that is included with the site build can be overwhelming to the client, and turn the sale into "I want to take time to think about it / I will get back to after I read it". What that does is getting the client "colder" and makes him forget all the emotion that was built during the sales call... The best practice is to collect payment right on the call after you've made the pitch and overcame the objections. But with something like web design where there are a lot of moving parts and contracts are important, it can affect the sales process. Would really like to hear your opinion on this. Do you provide an in depth contract before payment collection?

    • @hellobont
      @hellobont 10 дней назад

      Great question! I think you're on point with what you said. I recommend sending the contract once the first payment is done.

    I really appreciated the video, especially once I thoroughly understood what you meant at first. I am wondering something though, I am not really in the industry yet but I feel like it might be harder, as a starter working with small businesses, to find a full time developer to work in tandem with. It may not be my job at all to find one, but then wouldn't it help to know how to make a full website from design to publishing to kickstart a career (a bit like you did)? Concluding this by saying I really enjoy your channel, you explain things professionally and I resonate a lot with the imagery you set in your videos. Thank you for your work (and perhaps your future response)!

    • @hellobont
      @hellobont 13 дней назад

      I respond comments who I think deserve my attention and this is def one ;) The short answer is: it's easier to find a partner than to learn to do everything yourself. Not only applies to developers, but with others professions like copywriters, social media experts, SEO experts. Is it counter intuitive? Yes, like I state in the thumbnail :P that's why most won't take this path. Happy to hear you enjoy my channel!

Let me know if you any more specific questions, "learning graphic and web design" is a broad topic so it's difficult to answer 😅

    • @simontomalik8837
      @simontomalik8837 12 дней назад

      @@hellobont Forgive my late response. I may have been too quick to call myself an amateur because I've completed a UI/UX course and have almost landed a job a few times. However, I eventually realized that UI/UX wasn't 100% my passion. This is where web design comes in, as it aligns more with my interest in aesthetics and artistic touch. I am proficient in Figma, but concepts like Typography and the Golden Ratio grid are still somewhat mysterious to me. Your work is pretty amazing so maybe I'll be more direct and ask if you could advise someone, ormaybe it could even be yourself if only you work with people who don't really understand what they want yet!

    Number 6 so real! The "send me an email" "send me a proposal" is a dead giveaway that they're telling you to go away.. One way that I used to counter that before was to set up expectations at the start of the call to prevent this. Something like "If we both don't say no to each other, we have to agree on a next step, are you good with that?" Nothing better than taking that head on instead of dealing with the objection later in the call!
